In the case of Venezuela, Bolivarian Republic, the foundation of women’s safety, as measured through the baseline dimensions (Equity, Protection, Resources) of the Women’s Safety Index (WSI), increased 8 index points, from 62 in 1995 to 70 in 2024. Despite this improvement, the country's baseline safety remains fragile, with weakened protective institutions and limited access to essential resources reducing resilience to crises and disasters.
